Dynamic Behavior Analysis of I-Shaped RC Beams under Combined Blast and Impact Loads

The existing literature mainly focuses on the research of reinforced concrete (RC) beams under a single load such as blast or impact. In this paper, slab–rib–slab RC beam, new type structure widely used in bridge structures, was taken object. explicit dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA to numerically analyze response and failure behavior I-shaped combined impact loads. For reason, an effective numerical model obtained by carrying out experiments contact explosion. key factors affecting loads were analyzed. Numerical results showed that different application sequences have important effects structure. When first applied structure, more severe damage deformation occured depth direction beam. However, when at lower flange damaged span beam due tension, no large-scale spallation occurred direction. This mechanisms addition, vulnerability varied with some structural parameters, including span, depth, configuration reinforcement. At same time, is sensitive changes parameters it subjected
